Lipgloss and Binky is a Mommy/Lifestyle blog devoted to subconsciously encouraging women to live their best lives. Self professed fab Mom, Mimi is the “Rant and Rave” generator/content creator for this blog. The moniker Lipgloss and Binky was derived when Mimi was thinking of two things she should never leave home without. Three years after the inception of the blog her daughter no longer needs the binky but lipgloss is still in constant need. For brand purposes, the name sticks.

Loving wife, mom of three, loyal friend and devoted member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Mimi also moonlights as a freelance writer, and is known to take a pretty picture or two. Living her life day by day and on purpose rotates her daily job duties from WAHM to SAHM and she is perpetually unbothered by what others think. Many failed trips to the fitting room and long days on the go with her children have dubbed her the connoisseur of skinny jeans, stilettos and Sangria. She could quite easily be your cyber home girl.

She is frequently photo bombed by a sweet girl with a lipstick obsession trying to get the perfect picture for her fashion posts…and she isn’t pregnant

Mimi has a keen eye for fashion, and a love for beauty products. She can often be found perusing the aisles of Hobby Lobby and Michael’s in search of materials needed to feed her Pinterest DIY obsessions. When absent from Social Media she can be found spending time with her family and friends, volunteering in her community, gardening or reading. Reading includes looking at magazine pictures.

Mimi is easily followed through a plethora of Social Media options. Take your pick….Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, Email, RSS.  She talks back…on all of them. Engagement she calls it.

Lipgloss and Binky is PR friendly and has housed reviews, and host opportunities with known brands to include Disney, Revlon, Kohl’s, Samsung, P.S for Aéropostale and Macy’s. Mimi enjoys working with brands that are children, family, beauty, fashion and home décor centric.

One last thing…..she finds writing about herself in third person totally awkward.

Mimi… I love your blog!!!!! I have to admit, I only stop by most (1min tops) but I loved it here. Trust me, I wouldn’t be writing this long comment! LOL. And it’s great you’re in ATL too… I’m here, but I don’t like it… at all! Before I go, it would be nice to meet up for a blogging mommy lunch or something… just a thought.

Oh, I’m still waiting on the link. I love my blog but I know it’s not fancy. I was thinking it’s because it’s a wordpress.com blog and not the self-hosted wordpress. I have to switch over soon. Since I do work online, it would be nice to have some carefully selected ads on my site, but that’s a dream on wordpress.com. It keeps stripping all the code!

Anyway, great work. I must save you to my favorites. :)

Thank you!!! I’m not a hair junkie at all. It has been a long road of trial and error to find what works for my hair. I am fully natural and I use Shea Moisture products. I have tried Miss Jessie’s and they do okay but for the price I’m riding with Shea Moisture. I use a good flat iron that I found on sale at my local Marshalls. I’ll do a post next week on my technique and such. It won’t be indepth like a Youtube video but it will give you a better idea. Thank you so much for reading!
