{Outfit of the Day} Showing a Lil’ Leg with Jean Shorts

My husband’s birthday was yesterday and we spent it doing what the children wanted to do. They truly believed he wanted to bowl on his birthday.

I kept it what I like to call “chic casual”.  My tummy and love handles need a bit of… we’ll say attention, so I don’t care to just throw them out there with a fitted tee without a little camouflaging.

{Outfit of the Day} Pink and Green Tunic

June 20, 2014

I’ve been spending the majority of my days in jeans and tank tops. Nothing glamorous to see here.

Yesterday I photographed a friend of mine that will be welcoming her first child in August. This was the first time I made it out of the house with a purpose this week so  I stole the opportunity as a chance to put some clothes on..not in the literal sense of course.

I promise, there is nothing like a good tunic. Quick, easy and stylish.

This particular tunic has a story. I purchased it at an off season sale in 2009. When I got it home and hung it up, it dawned on me that it was pink and green and rekindled my desire to become an AKA.

I put it in my closet and let it hang there for 4 years. I never wore it. I used it as motivation, when I wanted to give up. Almost 5 years later, it sure feels good to put it on as an AKA.

I’ve been rocking and rolling with these white flower flip flops from Kohl’s. I probably wear them everyday!!

{Outfit of the Day} Farmer’s Market Fresh

June 3, 2014
IMG_2186

Going into the weekend, the refrigerator and cabinets were bare. There were pickings but they were slim and required some imagination to concoct a meal.

Saturday I got busy and by Sunday we were practically eating air so I had to make a trek to the Farmer’s Market.

I threw on what I felt comfortable in. I am slowly realizing in my old age that I really like classic styles and looks. I get the trends but unless they are marked down I probably won’t buy them. Give me an oxford and some shorts and I’m good.
