{kinda} Wordless Wednesday- O’ Christmas Tree

We finally got a Christmas tree.

It was on the agenda but not at the forefront of the minds of the adults in this house. I suppose I was counting the fact that the mantle and the outside decorations were done, however the children  were ready to stage a coup if we didn’t get a tree. So get a tree we did.

We got it from Kroger, got it home and in the stand before remembering that all of our Christmas decorations were thrown out with the trash when we moved.

Off to Target.

Somebody tell me who had the genius idea that we should purchase our Christmas ornaments AND have to tie the strings on. That took forever. Next time I’ll take the hooks.

Finally got to the point where it was time to add the ornaments to the tree

Our tree is up and decorated. If I might be honest, I can’t wait until my children get older so that my tree looks more polished than hodge podge but for now it’s whatever my babies want and they think it looks fantastic!!

Is your tree up? Are you putting up a tree. Does your tree look like it was made with love by children instead of the fancy, pretty ones?

My tree has been up since Thanksgiving weekend and my son is too young to have any input. Once he reaches that age we will have a second tree that he can decorate however he wants. One for him and one for me cause I’m serious about decorating/christmas.

I didn’t even think about that. I should’ve gotten them a little mini tree. Next year that is what I will do. I’m dying for one of those pretty pre lit fakies that look like something straight out of Macy’s

Paperclips make GREAT hooks. Just unfold them. They are WAY stronger than those dinky tree hooks. Also, how much would I give to be able to start my tree over?! Yours looks so cohesive !:)

No ma’am, no tree yet smh. I got rid of everything when I moved to Houston almost three years ago and I haven’t had a tree since! I’m failing on so many levels and my girls aren’t too happy *shrugs*. I’ll get one this weekend…kicks dirt.

Oh my! Tying on strings??? I was annoyed that I forgot to get hooks and had to run over to the dollar store. I really woulda been fuming over strings! Anyway, the results are what counts and love the special moments you capture of your LOs focus while decorating. They’re adorable!

We put up our tree after Thanksgiving dinner. My husband three year old did it and it looks a hot mess, LOL!!! She loves it though and that’s all that matters. It’s pretty funny actually. But like you said, I can’t wait until the tree looks more put together. I love the pics on your blog. The documentary style of your photos is pretty cool!

My kids did the tree too I just put the hooks on the ornaments. As the kids get older I will probably get one of the small ones for them and call it a day.

Our Tree is up; it’s been up since a day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday). My son felt some type of way about not assisting with putting the decorations on the tree. **sigh**
